The Quiet Mark

We have a range of products that have been awarded the Quiet Mark.  This means they have gone through stringent testing to make sure they pass all the strict criteria to be listed as some of the quietest in their class.

The Quiet Mark was established in response to the Noise Abatement Society’s 24/7 national noise help-line being inundated with complaints about the noise levels of household tools and appliances.

The accreditation provides an independent yet creditable body that allows consumers to choose products that are some of the quietest in their class, making sure peace and harmony is restored in living and working environments.

Andrew Cameron, Director of Intelligent Hand Dryers stated: “We have campaigned for an industry standard for acoustic and noise levels in the hand dryer market for some time. We recognise it is a significant factor in many purchasing decisions and also vitally important to make hand dryers inclusive for all, the information being supplied on many products was very unreliable and often not reflective of hand dryer noise levels in situ.

We are proud to be the only company with hand dryers in each of the Quiet Mark categories and intend to develop and source more effective products with smooth and tolerable noise levels for all users.”

ETL

The government managed Energy Technology List, ETL (or Energy Technology Product List, ETPL) outlines a list of equipment that is classed as energy saving which can enable businesses to buy plant and machinery using the Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) tax scheme.

This means that businesses can set 100% of the cost of the assets bought off the list against taxable profits in a single tax year. Essentially, the company can write off the cost of the new equipment against the business’s taxable profits in the financial year the purchase was made.

For a product to be listed it must pass strict testing to match the criteria used for determining if a product is energy saving and energy efficient.  We are proud to have our own products available on the list as well stock other brands that have taken this step to improving the energy efficiency of businesses.

Carbon Trust

“The Carbon Trust is an independent, expert partner of leading organisations around the world, helping them contribute to and benefit from a more sustainable future through carbon reduction, resource efficiency strategies and commercialising low carbon technologies.”

We were the first UK Carbon Trust accredited supplier of energy efficient hand dryers, setting the standard in a commitment to providing products that not only enhance the overall energy efficiency of buildings, but help reduce the Worlds carbon footprint.

Construction Line

We are on the Constructionline list of accredited suppliers.  This means that we are now prequalified to provide hand dryers and other services to procurement opportunities. We also have the “fit-to-supply” status giving all our buyers the confidence they are purchasing from a very creditable, healthy and financially sound company.

This membership is the only one of its kind that is endorsed by the Office of Government Commerce, the Welsh Assembly, the Northern Ireland Executive and the Scottish Executive.

Constructionline members are subject to an initial and regular ongoing vetting process.  The financial health is monitored so that you are safe in the knowledge your purchases from us as a supplier are risk free.

Buyers have access to all standard supplier information covering: company details, financial records, health & safety, insurances and equality and environmental policies. Again keeping any chance of risk to a minimum.

This is just another example of how Intelligent Hand Dryers takes meeting, maintaining and exceeding its extremely high standards seriously.
