At Intelligent Facility Solutions ltd trading as Intelligent Hand Dryers UK we are proud to support the work of ACTION THIS DAY, a charity set up to help extremely disadvantaged children from Kenya break the cycle of poverty through education. They also offer health care, and assist the children’s all round development through life skills programs and vocational training.

ACTION THIS DAY employs local people to work on their projects and they interact closely with the local community to ensure all projects have local support and are sustainable.

Everyone who helps the charity does so in an entirely voluntary capacity and by not tolerating any overheads they guarantee that they spend 100% of donations on the project work in Kenya.

The Kookaburra Community school was established in 2010 to provide free primary education for orphans and extremely disadvantaged children from Bamburi, near Mombasa, Kenya. The school has an enrolment of around 125 students, most who live on around 25 cents per day, employs 12 local staff and is registered with the Kenya Ministry of Education.

Andy Cameron and Helen Cameron, the directors of Intelligent Hand Dryers UK have been committed to supporting Action this day since the business was founded in 2012 and their personal involvement stems back to Helen's stint in 2009 volunteering at one of the orphanages, where she met the now founder of Action this day, Brian McIver. Helen is now a trustee for the UK arm of Action this day

Andy is taking part in a 10K run to raise funds for ACTION THIS DAY, you can show your support here: www.virginmoneygiving.com/AndrewCameron78
